Ad of the Month
A proud moment. The homepage takeover for Havana Club received the Creative Zone Ad of the Month for a brand experience with great use of rich media. “It provided all of the elements the user needed to interact with the brand – videos, a game, useful information and a competition.”
The client wanted to increase awareness of the Havana Club brand and also increase awareness of Havana Club as a true quality product compared to competitors.
The objective was to increase awareness of the Havana Club brand and differentiate Havana Club from well established competitors by communicating the Cuban heritage. Secondly the objective was to enable the audience to engage with the brand and leverage volume opportunities by using the Havana Club portfolio diversity.
The solution was a complete strategy for continuity and a long-term activity on Facebook together with a digital universe on MSN where people could feel the Cuban universe.
We wanted to exploit the creative possibilities MSN gives and take the user into a Havana Club universe with the message that they could win a trip for 2 to Cuba. To keep the user in the universe, we came up with an explorative contest in which the user had to relate to the product.
The atmospheric Cuban universe included an old-fashioned TV set with multiple videos, an interactive blender to mix your favorite drink and potentially win the trip to Cuba and detailed cocktail recipes.
